This photo shows one of the odder sights from yesterday's walk through the Brecon Beacons - a mushroom tree.
I get the feeling that nature would not have managed to plant spores that evenly up the side of the tree and the hand of man might have something to do with this.
One good thing about having lots of rain is that the waterfalls look really nice.
I was in the Brecon Beacons today walking around the Pen-y-Fan area and all the falls were full of 'rust' from the sandstone rocks.
While yesterday's picture of a Lipstick Cladonia shows one of the rarer plants, today's is of something completely and utterly common - Star Moss.
However, it really does look amazing close up.
Part of the Mountain Leader award is knowledge of flora and fauna in the British hills, so it was nice to spot this beautiful little lichen. I spent a whole day on Arenig Fawr looking for this particular plant and only found one all day!
